Data Network

Mid-State Technology is the largest fiber-optic network in the state, encompassing nearly 120 miles of district-owned cabling. This allows us to run as much data, video, and audio as needed for classes and internet without relying on public ISPs.

Interactive Television

By providing courses are at both the high school and college levels via interactive television (ITV) in conjunction with Central Lakes College, St. Cloud State University, and East Central Minnesota Educational Cable Cooperative (ECMECC), MSET is providing opportunities for students that would normally be unavailable to them through traditional classroom instruction. By doing so, we support the local school districts by allowing them to retain students that would otherwise be forced to leave the district for the educational opportunities accessible elsewhere.

Despite being one of the smallest technology co-ops in the state in terms of enrollment, MSET is one of the busiest in terms of ITV programming. We serve an average of 500 students per semester, and are constantly planning new ways to improve our distance learning programs.

Registration Instructions

• - DO NOT staple registration packets together
• - DO use the correct applications
  (e.g. CLC classes require a CLC application, SCSU classes need a SCSU application, etc).

Incorrectly submitted (wrong college application; missing signatures, course IDs, or section numbers) and/or missing forms may result in applications being returned and/or class registration delays. It also makes Dave very cranky, and you won't like him when he's cranky. ;-)

  (if less than a 3.0 GPA, student MUST TAKE AND PASS the ASAP testing- no exceptions)
• * Complete the CLC Online Orientation

Each course packet to MSET should contain:

• * An MSET course cover sheet
• - Specify course title, ID number, and section number
• - All students MUST have SSNs on this sheet.
• * A CLC/MSET Application Form for each new student
• - ONLY NEW STUDENTS REQUIRE THIS FORM WHEN REGISTERING FOR THE FIRST TIME!
• - Make copies if student is taking more than one class and include with course cover sheet.
• * A PSEO Registration *OR* a CLC Concurrent Enrollment Form for each student
• - ALL STUDENTS REQUIRE THIS FORM EACH TIME THEY TAKE A CLASS!
• - All classes must be noted on sheet with course title, ID number, and section number
• - Make copies if student is taking more than one class and include with course cover sheet.
